Idli Fry


  • 6 leftover Idlis
  • Oil for deep frying
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp red chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chaat Masala


  • to make plain idli fry, cut each idli into 3 pieces.
  • Heat oil & deep fry idli pieces over medium high heat.
  • Drain with stainless skimmer & transfer them to paper towel.
  • Sprinkle little salt, red chilli powder & chaat masala to taste when fried idlies are hot.
  • Mix well & serve hot with tamato ketchup or Green Chutney
