Onion Rings

  • 4 medium Onion (ପିଆଜ)
  • 2 Egg white
  • 1/2 cup Milk (ଖିର)
  • Salt to taste (ଲୁଣ)
  • Kashmiri mirch powder
  • 1tsp Corn Flour
  • 1/2 cup Refined Flour (maida)(ମଇଦା)
  • 2 cup Bread Crumb
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder(optional)
  • Peel the onions and cut them into thick rings. Separate the rings carefully.
  • In a bowl, mix together egg white(instead of egg, you can use milk),salt, mirch powder & black pepper powder.
  • Add onion rings and mix well.
  • Then add milk,mix well and keep aside for 5 mins.
  • Add corn flour, maida and mix it.
  • If you want,add garlic powder.
  • Roll the onion rings in the bread crumbs and coat them well & keep a side.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Put the coated onion rings into the hot oil, 2 to 3 at a time and fry(medium flame) until browned and crisp about 3 minutes. 
  • Serve hot with tomato sauce.
