drumstick potato rai(ଛୁଇଁ ଆଳୁ ରାଇ ଭଜା)


  • Drum stick – 2(ଛୁଇଁ)
  • Potatos – 2(ଆଳୁ)
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tbsp(ସୋରିଷ)
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp(ଜିରା)
  • Garlic clove - 5-6(ରସୁଣ) 
  • Turmeric powder - ½ tsp(ହଳଦୀ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ
  • Red chili powder - 1 tsp(ଲଙ୍କା ଗୁଣ୍ଡ)
  • Pancha phutana - ½ tsp(ପଂଚ ଫୁଟଣ)
  • Oil -2 tbsp(ତେଲ
  • Salt to taste(ଲୁଣ)


  • Peel the drumstick and potatos and cut it into 1½inch long pieces and keep it in a bowl of water and now wash both drumstick and potatoes. 

  • Make fine paste of garlic, mustard and cumin.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add panch Phuran. Let it crackle.
  • Add potato and drumstick and stir it for couple of mins.
  • Add masala paste,turmeric powder,chilli powder,1/2 cup water and salt. Cover with a lid and cook for 5-10 mins on medium flame till water became dry.

  • Open the lid and saute it for couple of mins.

  • Serve hot as side dish with Pakhala /Rice.
